What is the Great Food Truck Race? Here it is! The American Ninja Warrior Competition Between Food Trucks and Chefs in a Battle of Championship Foods
The Great Food Truck Race is an hour long special that consists of two separate contests. The first one is the race itself, which features all the trucks that have been recruited to participate in a one hundred mile drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Each truck is matched up with a specific destination which they must reach in order to proceed to the next stage. The first one across the line wins the $10,000 prize along with an advantage in Vegas. Two trucks will move on, while two trucks will have to pack their food trucks and go home. And then comes the second contest, which is a taste challenge held in Vegas between the two trucks that have made it to the next stage. The competitors are the truck owners themselves, who are not just serving and cooking, but they are also competing with each other to see which one of them can make the best tasting dish. The judges will taste test each dish and then choose the ultimate winner of this taste challenge, which will award that truck a whopping $50,000 prize.
