Why Selling Your Soul is a Deadly Deal with Terrible Consequences
Unfortunately, it is not just because of the risk to your possessions that you are trading your soul. Your soul is so much more than your possessions or treasures. It is what you are, who you are, and it can live on in this life or the next. You may find yourself looking ahead to a time when you have no need for anything, but still have many things that you cherish. These cherished items can be left to your child, grandchildren, friends without fear of causing pain in the afterlife by parting with them.
And when you are no longer in need of your body, an intact soul will give you the greatest opportunity for a higher level of living. You can become like those beloved ones who have gone on before. They will welcome you. They will give what help they can from where they are, but you should never rely on receiving it.
How Many People Sold Their Souls and How Do They Deal with It?
If you look at the world’s pioneer saints, you’ll notice that their number is very small. They sold their souls for the attainment of greater knowledge and wisdom, which led them to share that knowledge with others. In fact, all the great and powerful saints who’ve appeared throughout history were once sages and doctors. Such people are rare – only a few in the world. You can’t find them unless you keep your eyes open for them, and then listen to what they have to say.
For example, Jesus was a sage, who taught people by his words and deeds which transformed them into disciples of himself. Buddha was originally a guru who descended from heaven to Earth as an ordinary man who became a sage through his diligent practice of Buddhism. Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, was once a priest who went on a pilgrimage to Mecca as an ordinary man, as well. Kabir was an ordinary man who became a sage through his practice of such exalted knowledge. They all sold their souls to become enlightened and compassionate true sages and doctors for the sake of humanity.
